Every time I walk into the hospital, especially up to Same Day Surgery, I find myself looking for Jack. His smile always lit up the room. He always paid close attention to whomever he was speaking to, making them feel like they were the only one that mattered. One day, as I was getting lunch in the cafeteria, which I do often, I saw Jack in line. He insisted that I get dessert. I don't remember what it was that day, but he was having one and it looked good. So, I added dessert to my normal meal. When I reached the cashier she told me that my lunch had been taken care of. I ran after Jack, gave him a big hug and thanked him. He smiled his big smile and said you are welcome. I remember his kindness and his loving way with people and I miss him.
