Condolence From: Darrah Grier McCammon
Condolence: How blessed I am that Mr. Davies was an integral part of our family and of our milestones - marriage, babies, celebrations of life and of God's abundant grace. Each of you will be in our prayers; we remember you with gratitude and love as well.

Condolence From: Betty Davenport
Condolence: What a precious man, a messenger sent by God to touch us all and
lead us to Him. Although as a family we benefited from his sermons at First Presbyterian in Texarkana, it was on the church float trips
where my husband John and I developed a deep love for him. He was
so happy to be on the Buffalo river as revealed by the
slight continuous smile. Sitting around the camp fire at night
his joy was further revealed by the twinkle in his eyes, the deep
voice patiently sharing stories and his deep laughter.
He was truly a gift from God.

Condolence From: Richard Scott Lasiter
Condolence: Many of you were fortunate enough to know and spend lots of time with David over the years. I can only imagine how much he meant to you. I spent 3 days with him on Petit Jean. Never felt closer to God and know his trip to heaven to be much shorter than most. David woke me up to life's possibilities after the loss of my wife. Forever grateful in having the opportunity to meet such a great person. I am blessed. We are blessed. My late wife, Debbie Davenport, thought he hung the moon. What a life to celebrate.

Condolence From: Dan Hignight
Condolence: David was very much loved by my family, and Kathleen's (nee Thompson). He was a wonderful pastor to us, and later a colleague in ministry. Under his influence many have entered the ministry, including my wife, her brother, and sister; so in many ways, his life and teachings live on through them. Blessings of peace be with you all.

Condolence From: Margo Moore Strickland
Condolence: Dear Davies Family,
My heart is saddened by the news of your Dad's death. What a man! What an extraordinary man!! He played such a big part in my life from my teen years, young adulthood, parenthood... until his retirement. He performed our marriage ceremony, he baptized both of our children, as well as nurtured and loved us as if we were his own. He had the largest hands I had ever seen, and I always told him that God's hands must look just like his. He laughed. I know you will miss him sorely. He will be missed by multitudes as well. We loved your Dad. Thank you for sharing him with us all.

Fondly,
Margo M. Strickland
