Betty June  Burris
Betty June Burris, 84, of Atkins, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Conway Regional Medical Center. She was born July 7, 1928, in Wewoka, Oklahoma, the daughter of Rufus Bedford and Orlena Hudson Owensby. She was a member of St. Joe Free Will Baptist Church and the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Berkley J. Burris; son, Charles Williams, 3 brothers, Archie Owensby, John Owensby and Eugene Owensby; sister, Leona Garner Hinkle; son, Charles Williams; and beloved pets, Sassy, Honeybee and Helen.
She is survived by a daughter, Debra L. Burris of Atkins; 2 dogs, Feathers (Itty Bitty) and Lacey; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 10:00 AM Monday, April 22, at St. Joe Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Barnes and Rev. Jim McNutt officiating. Burial is in St. Joe Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday.
Pallbearers are Ronnie Johnston, Phillip Haney, David Maxwell, Brian Hartley, Tim Muncy, Jason Gibson and James Lienhart.
