Obituary for Leo Brannon

Leo Brannon, 84, a resident of Atkins, died Sunday, October 9, 2011, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born June 11, 1927 in Lester, Arkansas, son of the late Clifford and Ruth Brannon.
He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers of Local 382 BIUOE and a retired equipment operator.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Gerald and Tim Brannon.
He is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Gladys Brannon; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Bert Brannon, Lonnie and Debra Brannon, Chuck Brannon, and Mark and Cynthia Brannon; two daughters and a son-in-law, Brenda Brannon and Glenda and Billy Harris, all of Atkins; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 12, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. David Downum officiating. Burial is in Oakland Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at Lemley Chapel.
Pallbearers are Michael Brannon, Justin Brannon, Steven Brannon, Eric Brannon, Jake Reed, Charlie Chance and Bobby Brannon. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Staggs and Jim Staggs.
