Michael Lee Boren, 60, of Atkins, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010, at his home. He was born on April 6, 1950, to Marvin and Cordie Hutcherson Boren in Atkins, (Pope County) Arkansas and is preceded in death by his mother, 2 brothers, Charles Allen Boren and Larry (Fuzz) Boren

Mike was a farmer and a former member of Atkins City Council and Planning Commission.

He is survived by Marilyn Boren Wood, his father, Marvin Boren ,2 brothers, Bruce Boren and Johnny Boren, sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Doyle Foshee all of Atkins, a number of nieces and nephews

Graveside Service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 17, at Atkins City Cemetery, the Rev. David Bishop and Rev. Johnny Boren officiating.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday at Lemley Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Dale Foshee, Jeff Boren, Bruce Boren, Jimmy Boren, Greg Boren, Matt Boren, Gary Boren.
