Dawn Davis and daughter Daphne Darling

Robert, Walker, and Talker, Hi cousins! It's been a long time since we've all seen each other, and I'm so sorry that you've lost your mother. She was a wonderful woman with a heart of gold. I always thought that I looked a lot like her. I always thought she looked a lot like my dad, R.E., and so do I. Course, my dad always told me I got my good looks from him! Robert, how's my good looking cousin (by the way, you got your mom's good looks!), I haven't seen you since you were in a hospital bed getting your liver studies done at St. Mary's and I was in LPN school. 15 years ago. Hope you're ok now. Girls, you are all beautiful, delicate, and a rainbow to everyone who knows you. Cheryl, you have the prettiest big brown eyes. What are you up to today? To the Twins, I remember helping both of you learn to walk when you'd come to see me or we'd go to your house. Deeana, I hope you went on to nursing school like we talked about when I saw you at the nursing home in Morrilton when I was doing my nursing clinicals. If not, it's never too late. I know your mom was proud of all you kids. And I'm sorry about your dad. My brother, Richie, worked with him at AmTran. Uncle Jim was one of the quietest, kindest, hard-working men I've ever known. I know you must miss him. And you're going to miss your mom. But she's in a better place now. No more pain, no more tears, no more suffering. You'll see her again someday. Meanwhile, live the best life here that she would want for you. Our parents do so much for us. The least we can do for them is to make them proud of us. And it's never to late to do that. Write me an email you guys. Let me know how you all are doing. Like I told aunt Geraldine at my dad's funeral August of '08, we'll all always be family. When nobody else will. Love, Dawn Doran Davis
