Obituary for Sybil Teague

Sybil  Teague
Sybil Teague, 91, of Atkins, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, January 17, 2013, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville. She was born July 13, 1921, in Oak Grove (Pope County), Arkansas, the daughter of George and Lillie Johnston Venable. She took great care of her family. She was a proud member of St. Joe Free Will Baptist Church, and enjoyed hobbies of gardening, music, flowers, arts and crafts, and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. Rayburn Teague; brothers, Wilburn, Earl Dee, Ray Lee, Glenn, Jerry, and Jerry Dale; and a sister, Nivall.
She is survived by her daughters, Lillie Mae Matchett and Bobbie Alene and husband Ray Miller; grandchildren, Debbie and husband Rev. Darrell Barnes, David Matchett, Sandi Miller and Doug Miller; great-grandchildren, Chad and wife Amanda Barnes, Ashley and husband Cory Myers, Cameron Matchett, Will Miller and Chrystan Reva; great-great-grandchildren, Jordan Barnes, Madison Barnes, Zoie Myers, Zoey Olivia, Ivey Ruth and Landen Preston; brother, Oliver Venable and wife Dorothy; sisters, Frances and Georgia; special friend and caregiver, Toni Ingle; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2:00 PM Saturday, January 19, at St. Joe Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Barnes and Rev. Jimmy Chronister officiating. Burial is in St. Joe Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Open visitation was Friday evening at Lemley Chapel.
Pallbearers are Freddy Bowden, Jim McNutt, Doug Miller, Larry Venable, Blaine Venable, and Clinton Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Venable and Bob Venable.
