Obituary for Wanda "Jean" Ennis (Chronister)

Wanda “Jean” Ennis, 79 of Atkins, passed away peacefully, Thursday, February 9, 2023 at her home. She was born March 12, 1943 in Moreland to the late Dallas and Floy Duvall Chronister.

To know Jean was to know love and happiness. She had a special place in her heart for animals of all kinds. Her greatest love of all was her family and being a wife, momma, and nana. She will be remembered for her overflowing love that made everyone feel special.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Ed Chronister, Joe Chronister, Butler Chronister, Rob Chronister; and 2 sisters, Christine Davis and Wilma Dean Johnston.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Kenneth Ennis; 4 loving daughters, Angela Ennis, Deborah Ennis Mills and husband Kevin, Penny Ennis Maxwell and husband David, and Amy Ennis Hamilton (Alfie Duvall); 3 grandchildren, Lindsey Wilson, Evan Maxwell, and Keely and husband Gage Rehm; 1 great-grandson, Ledger Wilson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Memorial graveside service and burial will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, February 17, at St. Joe Cemetery with Bro. David Bishop officiating under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.

Honorary pallbearers are Richie Davis, Randy Johnston, Larry Johnston, Lavon Johnston, John Davis, and Danny Davis.
