Obituary for Walter Bond
Walter Bond, 68, of Atkins, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was born April 30, 1952, in Russellville, son of the late Ralph and Faye Hansen Bond. He retired from Dow Chemical after 35 years of service as a master plumber.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ralph Bond, Jr.; sister, Anna Sloan; father and mother-in-law, Johnny and Dana Higgins; brother-in-law, Michael Higgins; and sister-in-law, Cheryl Higgins.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Vickie Bond; son, Brian Bond and wife Susan; 2 grandchildren, Caeden and Carrigan; sisters, Rhonda Bond, Kathy and husband Harold Hubbard, and Tressa and husband Zeke Keeling; ; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Monica Bond; LaDonna and Stanley Floyd, Doug and Cyndi Higgins, Paula Higgins, Danny Higgins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and burial is 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 6, at Oakland Cemetery north of Atkins with Rev. David Bishop officiating under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor may be made to the Oakland Cemetery fund, P.O. Box 440, Atkins, AR, 72823.
