Obituary for Virginia Peak

Virginia Love Fletcher Peak, 98, of Atkins, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019, surrounded by the family who loved her. Virginia was born in Atkins on November 17, 1920, the eldest child of the late Ernest Paul Fletcher and Lula Arnold Fletcher. She was the widow of Edmond Joe Peak, Sr., and was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Fletcher and Jack Fletcher. She was a member of the Atkins United Methodist Church and a life member and former president of the VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by her four children, Carolyn Vance (Bob), Joe Peak, Jr., Paula Goines (Buddy), and Rozan Dollar; grandchildren, Britt Vance (Meaghean), Tracey Vance Trafford (Win), Joe Peak III (Tammy), Terry Goines James (Brian), and Dow Dollar, Jr. (Jacie); brother, Wayne Fletcher of Bakersfield, California; 10 great-grandchildren, Maggie Clements, Shannon Vance, Kelsey Peak, Taylor Vance, Jackson Lilley, Tyler James, Katie Peak, Kallie Peak, Fletcher Dollar, and Nash Dollar; and 2 great-great-grandsons, Lincoln Latham and Cooper Clements.
Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Atkins United Methodist Church with Rev. Roy Beth Kelley officiating. Burial is in Atkins City Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, at Lemley Chapel.
Pallbearers are Britt Vance, Win Trafford, Joe Peak, III, Dow Dollar, Jr., Brian James, and Tyler James. Honorary junior pallbearers are Fletcher Dow Dollar and Ellis Nash Dollar.
