She retired from the Arkansas Department of Human Services where she was a Purchasing Officer. She never met a stranger and was loved by all. It was always fun when she was involved - whether playing cards or any game, monthly Bunco games, shopping and family get togethers. She was a wonderful cook and her children and grandchildren always looked forward to a meal at her home. She enjoyed decorating her home and making it a place family and friends loved to come to. She had friends from many walks of life and treasured each and every one. She was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church in North Little Rock until she and Heartsill moved to Atkins, Arkansas in 2007. They attended Hopewell Baptist Church in Atkins.
