Shirley R. Williams, 85 of Hector, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Atkins Nursing and Rehab. She was born April 1, 1937, in Hector to the late Joseph Earl and Elsie Midwell Helton.
She attended Cedar Grove Assembly of God Church in Hector.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Hilton Blackwell; second husband, Bill Williams; son, Rodney Blackwell; 2 daughters, Donna Chappell and Diane Blackwell; grandson, Shane Evans; and daughter-in-law, Sheila Blackwell; 3 brothers, Herman Helton, Donald Helton, and Rickey Helton; and 1 sister, Floye McGee.
She is survived by her son, Kevin Blackwell (Lisa); brother, Bob Helton (Martha); sister, Joyce Standridge; grandchildren, Billy Joe Halterman, Ross Johnson, Jessie Blackwell, Jennifer Blackwell, and Alexis Hobbs; and great-grandchildren, Chloe Halterman and Jaxon Halterman.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 21, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Jonia Smith officiating. Burial will be held in Rock Springs Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
Pallbearers are Roger Standridge, Scott Craig, Kenny McGee, Anthony Allison, Jonathon Bradley, and Mike Branum.
Honorary pallbearers are Taylor Reddell, Blake Standridge, and fellow members of Cedar Grove Church.
