Obituary for Shirley Lewis
Shirley Lewis, 66, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at her home. She was born December 13, 1952, in Salisaw, Oklahoma, daughter of the late Jimmy Dow Cowan and Edith Mae Sbabo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Pete Sbabo; son, Danny Ray Scissom, Jr.; sister, Diane Turney Smith; and brothers-in-law, David Herdman and James “Bubba” Moore.
She is survived by her husband, Benny Edward Lewis; children, Sherry Mae Seals (Joseph), Tony Lee Scissom, Billy Joe Scissom (Kristin), and Bobby Dean Scissom (Melissa); grandchildren, Amber, Danny, Wesley, Haleigh, Madilyn, Trenton, Brooklyn, Hannah, Camden and Zackary; 3 great-grandchildren, Zaraya, Ashton, and Wylder; 7 siblings, Ray, Jessie, Jimmy, Dore, Lisa, Mary, and Rosemary; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 16, at Lemley Chapel. Burial is in Owens Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is Friday from 5:00-7:00 PM.
