Ruby Jewel McVay, 87, formerly of Atkins, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock. She was born May 28, 1931, in Atkins, daughter of the late Clyde and Gertie Pope Dunn. She was of the Assembly of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Chester “Chet” Dunn, and Eugene Dunn; 3 sisters, Dolly Dunn Deal, Minnie Dunn, and Lilly Dunn Doll; and a grandchild, Terry Curtis.
She is survived by a son, Gary McVay; daughter, Marilyn Curtis; grandchildren, Alisha DeLaTorre, Tony Moore, Lisa Curtis, Mari Curtis, Stephanie McVay Crawford, Cary McVay, and Tonya Hawkins; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 3:00 PM, Monday, February 4 at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Bob Perry officiating. Burial is in Atkins City Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 3:00-5:00 PM, Sunday, at Lemley Chapel.
Pallbearers are Freddie Guillermo, Randy Deal, Robbie Deal, Robert Hiatt, Gary Turner, and Scott Deal.
