Obituary for Richard Mark McClure

Richard Mark McClure age 52 of Atkins passed away Friday March 4, 2022 at Baptist Medical Center. He was born on August 13, 1969 at St. Mary's Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife Amy Dupree McClure and two sons, Noah and Hunter; parents, Willie and Pat Burris McClure of Atkins; brother Doug (Thelma) McClure of Hattieville; sister Leslie(Ray) Boyd of Dover; Father in-law and Mother in-law James and Linda Smith Dupree of Forest, LA ;brother in-law Jim(Rebekah) Dupree of Leesville, LA; brother in-law Michael(Kari) Dupree of Vicksburg, MS; brother in-law Charles Dupree of Jackson, MS; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He will be remembered as a loving father, husband, son, uncle and friend. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors during all seasons. He was a member of Plummerville Faith Assembly of God where he attended with his family. Mark enjoyed teaching and working with young boys in the Assembly of God Royal Ranger program and also served as the Section 6 commander.

Funeral services for Richard Mark McClure will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, March 7, 2022 , at Happy Valley Assembly of God with Rev. Doug McClure, Rev. Chad Duvall, Rev Arnold Humphrey and Rev. Henry Bateman officiating. Burial will be held at St. Joe Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, at Lemley Chapel.

Pallbearers are Ethan Dupree, Eli Dupree, Luke Dupree, Kyle Dupree, Erik Moore, Justin Holt, and Phillip Gardner. Honorary pallbearers are Cody Boyd, Cory Boyd, Stephen Cochran, Jamie Profitt, and Jamie Burris.
