Obituary for Ray Wayne Manion

Ray Wayne Manion, 75, of Cleveland, gained his wings, Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 2:30 AM at Ozark Health in Clinton. He was born December 6, 1946, in California son of the late Virgil Andew and Lessie Howard Manion.

His hard-working hands are now at rest. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all who met him.

Ray you are the love of my life and my soulmate. He loved his country he served in as an Air Force Sergeant.

Grandpa is one of my favorite people on this earth. He was the sweetest man I have ever known. In my life he’s watched me grow up and become the person I am today. I’ve always held him close to my heart, and words can’t say how much I will miss him, love - Punky doo

Paw Paw was a great grandfather. He could brighten the mood in a flash and tried to work hard even in his later life. It was easy to have fun when around him. We will hold him dear in our hearts, love - Cricket

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, L.C. and Lee Roy Manion; and twin sons.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Tammy Manion; daughter, Minnie and husband DJ Watkins; son, Joshua (P. Allen) Manion; grandchildren, Cricket Watkins, Punky, Pockets and KK Manion; 2 sisters, Mary and husband David Sublett and Etta Lagrone; brother, Jack Manion and wife Sondra; and several nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other family and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held 12:00 to 4:00 PM, Saturday, January 8, at Solgohachia Baptist Church, 3221 Hwy 9, Solgohachia, AR 72156.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Center Ridge Food Pantry, P.O. Box 112, Center Ridge, AR 72027, where he volunteered.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
