Obituary for Pearl Rackley

Pearl Rackley, 76, of Atkins, entered her heavenly home on September 10, 2020, at Conway Regional Medical Center. She was born November 23, 1943 in Camden, New Jersey to Joseph Rowley and Jennie Johansen.

Pearl was part owner of Rackley Furniture in Atkins and Morrilton. She loved shopping, reading, listening to Elvis, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Johnny Rowley; and a grandson, Dylan Thompson.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Rackley; her son, Mike Rackley; her daughter, Tracey Rackley Thompson; 3 grandsons, Cole Chism, Cade Rackley, and Carson Rackley; a granddaughter, Cari Curtis (Jeremy); and two great-grandchildren, Audrey Caroline Curtis and Beau Graham Curtis.

Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Monday, September 14, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. David Bishop and Neal Chism officiating. Burial is in Bowden Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.

Pallbearers will be Cole Chism, Clay Chronister, Clint Chronister, Jeremy Curtis, Cade Rackley, Carson Rackley and Duane (DJ) McAfee.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Ashmore, Jeff Crites, Bobby Higgins, Randal Isom, Melvin Jackson, Tony Sweeden, and Steve Ward.

The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the nursing staff and doctors at Conway Regional Medical Center. They were warriors alongside her as she fought Covid-19 for 3 ½ weeks. Our family will never forget their devotion and commitment to giving her the best possible care and their compassion at the end of her battle.
