Obituary for Mickey Turney
Mickey Turney, 64, of Hector, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021, at his home. He was born February 11, 1957, son of the late Neal and Lucy Duvall Turney. He loved to hunt, fish, play pool, and visit with friends. He ran the produce stand in Atkins for several years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jimmy Neal and Willis Turney.
He is survived by a brother, David Turney; and a host of relatives and other friends.
Graveside service and burial is 1:00 PM, Friday, October 29, in Walnut Grove Cemetery with Rev. Larry Don Smith officiating under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, at Lemley Chapel.
Pallbearers are Britt Hibbs, Cameron Thacker, Greg Parrish, Charlie Albea, Billy Ray Freeman, and Buddy Coffman. Honorary pallbearers are Hurlan Muncy, Jack Freeman, Lyle Aday, Kenneth Walker, and Kenneth Roberson.
