Obituary for Mary F. Shipley
Mary F. (Ivy) Shipley of Atkins, Ark., was promoted to her Heavenly home on March 11, 2021, at the age of 85.
Born to her parents, Henry and Zona (Knight) Ivy on May 16, 1935, in Little Rock, she met her husband, Don Shipley, there. They were married on July 2, 1954, in Greenville, Miss. and had one son, Donald S. "Steve". She was a loving housewife; a precious mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt and a faithful servant of her Lord.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sisters, Opal (Harvey) Ferguson Bryant, Fay (Harvey) Young Ivy, Zona Lee (Harvey) Melton McDougald, Elsie (Ivy) McCumpsey and Allie (Ivy) Walpole; her brothers, Orvin Harvey, Keith Harvey and Frank Ivy; and her grandson, Daniel Shipley.
She is survived by her son, Steve and his wife, Karen, of Ozark, Ark.; granddaughter Karla Blahut and her husband, Peter. of Sarnia, Ontario; great-granddaughter Emily and great-grandson Joey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and burial is 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 13, at Sharon Cemetery in Benton, with Rev. Judy Darden and Rev. Bob Branch officiating, under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hillcrest Pentecostal Church of God, P.O. Box 302, Atkins, AR., 72843.
