Obituary for Marilyn Roberts

Marilyn (Mew Mew) Roberts, 85, of Atkins, entered her heavenly home on September 19, 2020. She was born August 25, 1935, in Atkins, daughter of the late Earl and Velma Judkins Fronabarger.

Marilyn was Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star in 1980 and retired from the Atkins Pickle Plant in 1995. She enjoyed reading and watching John Wayne and Elvis Presley movies, and got to see Elvis live twice in Las Vegas. She enjoyed traveling with her sister Elsie Hagen, and together they were known as the roadies. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James F. Roberts; son, Darryl F. Roberts; and a sister, Elsie Hagen.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana Wiley (Larry); sons, Alfred Roberts and Dwayne Roberts; daughter-in-law, Rachel Roberts; 9 grandchildren, Bruce Wiley (Lisa), Ashley Booth, Kaci Sisco (Lonnie), Jana Coffman, Brad Roberts, Jennifer Duvall (Tee), Traci Jones (Jacob), Kendall Roberts and Will Roberts; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service and burial is 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 22, at Oakland Cemetery in Atkins with Bro. Scott Warren and Bruce Wiley officiating under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.

Pallbearers are Dwayne Roberts, Bruce Wiley, Tee Duvall, Brad Roberts, Jacob Jones and Will Roberts.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Doctors and nursing staff at St. Mary’s Hospital.
