Obituary for Lydia Kuulei Yarbrough

Lydia Kuulei  Yarbrough
Lydia Kuulei Yarbrough, 87, formerly of Brooksville, Florida, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018, in Hector, Arkansas. She was born July 2, 1931, in Hanamaulu, Hawaii, on the island of Kauai, daughter of the late Louis and Helen Pia Quintal.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allen Yarbrough, Jr. – retired U.S. Army; and 4 siblings, Helen Hun, Violet Johnson, Louis Quintal, Jr., and Bernice Kanui.
She is survived by her daughter, Stella and husband John Minton; son, Allen Louis Yarbrough; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Local funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 2, at Lemley Chapel, with Bro. Jim Huffman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be held in Brooksville, Florida, at a later date.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to nurses Jacqueline and Kelsey from Arkansas Hospice for their love and care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor may be made to Alzheimer’s Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Dr., Little Rock, AR 72205.
