Lmurl Boren, 83, of Atkins, went to her home in Heaven Wednesday, December 19, 2018. She was born December 25, 1934, in Pope County, daughter of the late Grady and Bernice Duvall. She was a loving wife, mother, & mamaw with a true servant’s heart. She was a retired cafeteria employee of the Atkins School District, and faithfully attended the Atkins First Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.R. Boren, Jr.; son, Frankie Boren; 2 brothers, L.B. Duvall and Finis Duvall; sister, Nina Ruth Duvall; and son-in-law, Charlie Sorrels.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Sorrels; grandchildren, Jill Jones and husband Matt, Katie and husband Michael Flory, Brant Boren and wife Danielle, and James Boren and wife DeAnna; great-grandchildren, Konnor, J.C., Makali, Addison, Ellie, Rhett, Wesley, Brenner, and Colter; brother, Bobby Duvall and wife Allene; and a sister, Peggy and husband Hoot Nelson.
Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 22, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Chad Duvall and Rev. Brian Ryals officiating. Burial is in Atkins City Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 5:30-7:30 PM, Friday, at Lemley Chapel.
Pallbearers are James Boren, Brant Boren, Matt Jones, Michael Flory, and Konnor Carpenter.
