Obituary for Josephine Klober

Josephine I. Klober, 96, of Atkins, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. She was born September 7, 1922, in Atkins, daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth Hegeman Wenger. She was a member of the Atkins Church of the Assumption and the Altar Society. She was a graduate and valedictorian of St. Scholastica Academy, and turned down a full college scholarship to return home to help support her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Klober; grandson, Bradley Klober; 2 brothers, Paul and John Wenger; and 3 sisters, Catherine Wenger, Ann Hutchins, and Marie Schulte.
She is survived by 2 sons, Ron Klober and wife Cathy of Maumelle, and Phil Klober and wife Evelyn of Pleasant View, Tennessee; brother, Joseph Wenger of McHenry, Illinois; grandchildren, Chris Klober and wife Kim of Greenwood, Lisa Klober of Phoenix, Arizona, and Amy and husband Jamie Singleton of Pleasant View, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Carter Singleton, Caroline Singleton, and Kate Singleton, all of Pleasant View, Tennessee, and Elijah Klober of Greenwood.
Funeral mass will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 16, at the Atkins Church of the Assumption with Father Ernie Hardesty officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-7:00 PM, Friday, at Lemley Chapel with rosary services following at 7:00 PM.
Pallbearers are Carter Singleton, Chris Klober, Jamie Singleton, Bob Wenger, Andy Berkemeyer, and Joe Berkemeyer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of the Assumption or to St. Leo’s College Ministry.
