Obituary for Joseph Vidunas
Joseph E. Vidunas, 78, of Russellville, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was born December 29,1940, in Kingston, Pennsylvania, son of the late John and Mary Wasilewski Vidunas.
He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, a United States Air Force Veteran, and worked for the Pennsylvania State Police and Entergy, Inc. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, and playing pitch. He also loved his Pittsburgh Steelers and Razorbacks. His current hobby was flying remote control planes with his buddies from the River Valley Radio Control Club.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Vidunas; children, Joseph Paul Vidunas, Susan Davis, Sandra Kegley, Barbara Nahlen, and Karen Nahlen Ray; and a sister, Bernadine Spachniewicz.
Funeral mass will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, June 7, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Russellville with Rev. Jack Sidler and Father Ernie Hardesty officiating. Burial with military honors by VFW Rogers-Rye Post #2283 at Atkins Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral of Atkins. Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM, Thursday, at Lemley Chapel with a rosary to follow at 7:00 PM.
