Obituary for Joe Garrigus

Joe  Garrigus
Joe Garrigus, 55, of Hector, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was born September 17, 1962, in West Covina, son of the late Jesse Burl and Patricia Jean Johnson Garrigus. He was employed by the Union-Pacific Railroad and was a retired Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air National Guard. He was selfless and put the needs of others above his own. He was a loving son, brother, husband and “Gpa,” and enjoyed the simple things in life such as spending time outdoors, backyard chickens and time on the lake.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Garrigus; daughters, Brittany and husband Kyle Burris, and Brooke Garrigus; granddaughters, Tava Burris and Reese Burris; brothers, Richard Garrigus and wife Judy, and Mike Garrigus and wife Judy; and a sister, Claudia Garrigus.
Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 13, at Lemley Chapel with David Carpenter and Zach Garrigus officiating. Burial is in Rock Springs Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, at Lemley Chapel.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
