Obituary for Jo Ann Hipps
Jo Ann Hipps, 90 of Russellville, passed away Saturday, December 17 at her home. She was born January 30, 1932, in Chickalah, daughter of the late Ralph and Verna Carter Dennis.
She worked at International Shoe Factory for 27 years and ARVAC since 1977. She attended Pottsville Free Will Baptist Church and later The Journey Church in Russellville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, L.C. Hipps; son-in-law, Michael Mackey; and great-great-grandson, Heston Hipps.
She is survived by her children, Danny and wife Linda Hipps, Carol and husband Danny Taylor, and Judy Mackey; grandchildren, Danny Hipps II, Chad Hipps, Lawson Hipps, Carrie Shaffer, Tessa Dickerson, Leslie Thomas, Lindsey Phillips; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 21, at Shinn Chapel with Rev. Jerry Shaffer officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, at Shinn’s. Burial is in Rest Haven Memorial Park under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Pallbearers are Danny Hipps II, Hayden Hipps, Ty Hipps, Chad Hipps, Lawson Hipps, Bo Dickerson, and Langdon Dickerson.
