Obituary for James Ray Roberts

James Ray Roberts, 61, of the Oak Grove Community, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021, at his home. He was born June 7, 1960, in Russellville, the son of J.L. and Ima Jean Gray Roberts. He was of the Assembly of God faith and was a retired concrete worker.

He was preceded in death by his father; a nephew, Lewis Roberts; and a great-niece, Zadie Ezell.
He is survived by his mother; three sisters, Dottie (Rickey) Fuller, Cheryl (Tub) Rhea, and Sandy (Jeff) Russell; 4 nieces, Michelle Ezell, Karisa Russell, Natalie Huff and Emily Rhea; 3 nephews, Rusty Russell, Michael Roberts, and Will Fuller; several great-nieces and nephews; and one very special friend, DeAnn Holt Roberts.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 29, at Happy Valley Assembly of God Church with Bro. Scott Garrison, Rusty Russell, and Will Fuller officiating. Burial is in Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, at Lemley Chapel.

Pallbearers are Rickey Fuller, Jeff Russell, Tub Rhea, Michael Roberts, Michael Roberts II, and Jason Ezell. Honorary pallbearers are all great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to James’ Hospice nurses, Nancy and Robin, for their kindness and care.
