James V. Reid, 91, of Jerusalem, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018, at Brookridge Cove Nursing and Care Center in Morrilton, Arkansas. He was born February 15, 1927, in Weeletka, Oklahoma, and grew up near Cleveland, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Florence Manion Reid; brother, Dooger Reid; 2 sisters, Geraldine Reid Massey and Maxine Reid Newton; daughter, Dobber; and wife, Liselotte Hahn Reid.
He is survived by a daughter, Geraldine Reid Mefford and husband Zeke of Oklahoma; son, James V. Reid, Jr. and wife Kim of Wisconsin; 5 grandchildren, James Mefford, Michael Mefford, Dawn Floch, Johnny Miller, and Vicki Kaiban. He is also survived by numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. He was loved by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He had a special nephew, Gary Reid.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 26, at Reid Cemetery.
