James N. Martin, 74, of Atkins, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018, at his home. He was born February 14, 1944, in Russellville, son of the late Samuel Dewey Martin, Sr., and Mary Ethel Hammock Martin. He was a member of the Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church and the VFW.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Don Martin, and Samuel Martin, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Martin; 2 sons, Shane Martin and Jeremy Martin and wife Amy Leigh; daughter, Amy Carol Martin; sister-in-law, Chris Martin; and 2 grandchildren, Beau LeeAnne Martin and Alek James Martin.
Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 12, at Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Warren and Rev. Don Matchett officiating. Burial is in Shiloh Cemetery north of Atkins under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, at Lemley Chapel.
Pallbearers are Matt Long, Doug Duvall, Ryan Staggs, Todd Chilcoat, Jeff Haralson, John Newell, Randy Martin, Jeff Howell, and Troy Robinson. Honorary pallbearers are Dwayne Helton, Earl Lusk, Bill Duvall, Leon Duvall, Floyd Chilcoat, Larry Foshee, and Doug Gallagher.
