Obituary for Gary Hodges
Gary Hodges, 67, of Atkins, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022, at his home. He was born July 30, 1955, in Mena, son of the late Seldon Arlis and Eula Mae Seals Hodges. He attended Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Hodges; Stepfather, Donald Lipe; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Francis and Modene Derrick.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Darlene Hodges; 2 sons, Derrick Hodges of Atkins, and Brandon Hodges of Little Rock; sister, Linda and husband Bob Cole; sisters-in-law, Sharon Tidwell, Karen Derrick Coleman and Mike Ekstrum Coleman; and a host of special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 28, at Lemley Chapel.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 29, at Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. David Bishop and Rev. Scott Warren. Burial will be held at Atkins City Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
Pallbearers are Allen Davis, Rick Jones, Tom Hickey, Garry Coffman, Danny Reed, and Jamie Keeling. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Ekstrum, Bob Cole, Richie Davis, Randall Isom, and Employees of Arkansas Craft.
