Obituary for Freda Flansburg

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, wife, and friend Freda Parham Flansburg
went home to be with the lord on January 2 nd 2023. Freda was born on March 5 th , 1944 in Griffin Flat
Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her mother Evelyn Leavell Johnston, father Homer (Doodle)
Parham, and older sister Diana Louise Poulson.

Freda was a creative soul who loved to write poetry and short stories about life and often her children
and grandchildren. She was a retired nurse who always tried to provide love and care to those in need.
Her love and joy for children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will always be remembered fondly
by those left behind.

Her riches left to continue on their journey are:
A husband Edward Flansburg
A younger brother and his wife, John and Mindy Parham.
A son Congressman Kevin Hern, and his wife Tammy. Kevin’s daughter Ashtyn Hern, her son Kash.
Kevin’s son Kelby Hern, and his wife Dana, their son Lincoln. Kevin’s son Kaden Hern,
A son Jeff Hern, and wife Tammy, daughter Alexia Hern
A daughter Jayme Johnston Dixon and her husband Dennis. Jayme’s daughter Sara Holloway Duvall and
husband Christopher, and their children Jaden, Brooklyn, and Briar. Jayme’s daughter Tina Holloway,
and her children Ryver and Storm.
A daughter Kia Johnston. Kia’s daughter Brittany Boren and partner Blaine Wells. Kia’s daughter Crystal
Peeler and her husband Stony, and their children Stony, Juniper, Cadee, and Maybellene.
A son John Johnston, and his wife Tiffany, and their children Bryce, Jett, and Saige.
A daughter Kristin Rine Boyd, and her husband Brandon, and their son Daniel.

Freda’s life will be celebrated in a small private ceremony with her close family. A gravesite ceremony
for extended family and friends is being planned for a later date. The family asks that in lieu of flowers
please donate to your favorite charities in Freda’s name, hers was the Ronald McDonald house and
Children’s hospital. The family would also like to thank everyone for their support and prayers during
these difficult times.
