Obituary for Frank Arthur Glasspoole

Frank Arthur Glasspoole, 93, of Russellville went to his reward, Friday, May 13, at Stella Manor Nursing and Rehab. He was born December 7, 1928 in Forsans, Texas son of the late George William and Vera Clara Lyler Glasspoole.

In 1960 he started a water well drilling business and that is where he retired in 1996. His slogan was “All life depends on water”.

He was married 62 years to his loving wife, Wanda Marie Oldaken until her passing in 2015. He was an active member of Hobbs Lion Club and coached Minor League Baseball to the championship in 1969. He was a member of the Church of God on Hobbs and proudly served two stents in the U.S. Navy in WWII.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sons, WM, Dave Authur, and George William; one granddaughter, Kristi Marie Glasspoole; brothers, Ernie Leonidas, Robert Glasspoole and John Glasspoole; and a sister, Emily Scott.

He is survived by two sons, Rick Allen Glasspoole of West Plains, MO and Frank L. and Jan Glasspoole of Russellville, AR; brother, Tommy Glasspoole of Hobbs, NM; grandchildren, Jason, Dave, Chris, Autumn and Rick Glasspoole, Jamre Grainger and Amy Allen; great-grandchildren, Riley, Alex, Jacob, Jillyn, Matthew, Melodi, Ethan, Trinity and Payton Glasspoole, Dalton, Breanna, Sara, Logan, Ethan and Colton Grainger; and a great-great-grandchild, Opal Glasspoole.

Private arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. A service for the family will be held at a later date.

Family would like to extend a special thanks to all the CNA’s and Nurses of Stella Manor on East Hall; especially Heather and Sue for their kindness and care they have shown Pa Frank.
