Obituary for Edward Robertson
Edward D. Robertson, 75 of Atkins, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, March 17, 2023 at his home. He was born December 3, 1947, in Bakersfield, California to the late Dean and Annis Edmondson Robertson.
Ed was proud to serve in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed traveling the world working on the SR71 Blackbird for eight years along with guarding two U.S. Presidents Nixon and Ford. He was highly ranked not only for serving our country, but for being the best husband, father, and grandpa. The words of his family were “everyone that got to know him was truly blessed.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-dad, Alvin Lewis; son, Steven Robertson; first wife, Carol Robertson; brother, Brett Robertson; and sister, Janis Stillwell; and step-mother, Eva Robertson.
Loved ones to carry on his legacy are his loving wife, Tammy Robertson; fur babies, Toby and Monkeybutt; son, Bryon and Kim Robertson; daughter, Lisa Robertson; stepchildren, Tommy and Ashley Campbell, and Tiffany and John Dick; sister, Feonia and James Allen, Sheri and Danny Allen, Sheri Clements, Alice Clary, Ruth and Tom Zimmerman, Christi and Johnny Hernandez; brothers, Perry Lewis, and Neal and wife Dawala Lewis; 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren; and family friend, Audrey Morphis.
Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 22, at Lemley Chapel. Graveside service and burial will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 23, at Oakland Cemetery in Atkins under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service.
Pallbearers are Bryon Robertson, Neal Lewis, Brian Allen, Tom Zimmerman, Seth Rudder, Robert Langston, Paul Holbrook, Kevin Holbrook, and Randy Holbrook.
