Obituary for Eddie Tackett

Eddie Tackett, 60, of Atkins, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born August 21, 1958, in Russellville, son of the late Euel and Vorea Hill Tackett. He was a member of Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church and was a farmer and co-owner of Atkins Motor Company, and served as Chairman of the Board of Point Remove Wetland Reclamation and Irrigation for the past 17 years.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Tackett; 2 daughters, Brandi Tackett and Cassie Tackett; sisters, Patti and husband Frank Southard of Atkins, and Paula Blackwell of Russellville; nephews, Cameron Southard and wife Brooke, and Brad Southard and wife Heather, all of Atkins; nieces, Whitney and husband Kenneth Holloway of Russellville, Brooklyn and husband Luke Pruett of Conway, and Lori and husband Casey Childress of Russellville; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services are 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 30, at Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. David Bishop and Rev. Scott Warren officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.
Pallbearers are Johnny Maus, Randy Sweet, Darrell Flory, Billy Bower, Howard Gibson, Cameron Southard, Brad Southard, and Danny Reed. Honorary pallbearers are Dow Dollar, Danny Strain, Randy Pettingill, Barry and Robert Stobaugh, Jim Wilbur, James (Hoot) Lienhart, Doug and Cooper Spence, Tim Ralston, Phillip and Dennis Boren, Lynn Embry, Paul and Carolyn Foshee, and the Promise Seekers Sunday School class.
