Obituary for Dwight Turner
Dwight D. Turner, age 81, of Atkins, passed away peacefully into Heaven, Thursday, April 23, 2020, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
He was born Jan. 27, 1939, in Russellville, son of the late Lake Dempsey and Lucille Marie Derryberry Turner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelene Turner; and two brothers, Doyle Turner and Douglas Turner.
He is survived by an aunt, Willie Belle Hamer; two sisters-in-law, Maxine Rudder and Eulene McClaren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service and burial will be at 11 a.m. on Monday at Oakland Cemetery in Atkins.
Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
Rev. Charles Smith and Jay Griffin will be officiating under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
