Donald “Peanut” Helton, 75, of Hector, passed away February 21, 2020, at St. Vincent’s CCU in Little Rock. He was born March 10, 1944, in Hector, son of the late Bill and Elsie Midwell Helton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Floye McGee; brothers, Herman and Rickey Helton; a grandchild, Mae Lee Holcomb; and several nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife, Ora Mae Helton; children, JoAnn and husband Larry Don Freeman, Celeste Helton, Andrew Helton, Rhonda Tucker, John Hodge and wife Brittney, and Heather and husband Joey Holcomb; sisters, Shirley Williams, Joyce and husband Bobby Lee Standridge; brother, Bob Helton and wife Martha; brothers-in-law, Jack Tucker and Patsy, and Lewis Tucker and wife Janice; grandchildren, Andrew, Ayden, Aytallica, Ariana, Monica, Jeremy, Justina, Destiny, John Robert, Remington, Jordis, Eli, Axie Lee, Samara, Frankie, Brittney, Kalynn, Allie, Kenley, Callie, and lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 25, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Mike Chism and Rev. Roy Smith officiating. Burial is in Rock Springs Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
Pallbearers are Larry Don Smith, Mike Coffman, Michael Duvall, Roger Standridge, Billy Ray Freeman, and Derrick Lauderdale.
