Condolence From: Janice Breece
Condolence: Dear Karen, not enough space to put my thoughts and feelings into words. We have been friends for over 15 years and through our friendship, I knew Dennis. I am so sorry seems to be so little to say in this loss of life and home. You and I have cried so many times about our pets and losses, we could and can always count on each other to understand the depth of pain we feel. You and Dennis had a home meant for lost animals needing a home. You took care of each other and your pet family. We mourn the loss of Dennis and your pets. I am so glad you saved Jackson and one of your cats. I love you. Janice.

Condolence: Dennis was one of my best friends for over 30 years, an 'uncle' to my kids, and the most soft-hearted, humorous, self-less person I know. He was always there for us, no matter what it was. We had so many 'adventures' together it could fill a book! He was one-of-a-kind, very unique and no one will ever be able to fill the hole in my heart that was left with his passing. I love you Dennis! 8+3 DT!

Condolence From: George Markham
Condolence: Dennis was my first boss, and set a standard that few have ever lived up to. My first day on the job at The Shack, I drove my first car to work for the first time after school and cut sharply running the passenger door of my 66 Ford along the drivers bumper of his 1970 TBird... so I go in and say umm, Mr. Thigpen, Sir, I hit your car... His eyes grew ever so wide and he said in this comic book character voice something about wellllll you been a bad bad employ-eee, so tell ya what we gunna do. We gunna send you into that walk-in cooler right there and you are going to have to {{redacted}} yourself this here {{redacted}} an then drink a chocolate milk and come tell me what ya think about all that. What a way to start ones work experience. Dennis always made me laugh, you couldn't help but laugh, and if you tried to help it, God help you. I often wonder why it seems the good, interesting folks move on while the mundane linger on forever. Maybe Dennis had done what he was here to do, maybe he was spared some ignoble end, I dunno. I do know he would not have us moping about and being all messed up. He would send us into the cooler, figuratively speaking, to adjust our state of mind. And pull some hilarious Zappa song off, or something like it, and make us laugh with him. I am just glad I knew him, and glad to have a chance to say a few words in honor of his passing on to better things. 8's and 3's to you my brother. George

Condolence: Dear Family and Friends of Dennis, Dennis and I shared a lot of good times back in the days of high school and even a few times after I moved away from North Little Rock. Back in those days we had a lot of fun out at the lakes, cruising NLR, hanging at the house, taking mini road trips and yes, partying. Dennis had a unique personality and it was interesting to see his life change and grow as he became more and more successful. One thing I found out for sure was that Dennis had a great heart. He would come to visit if you were down. He would drop by our parent’s house to say hello - just because he could. He did the right things. He had a great laugh. And, I just loved seeing pictures of his animals and friends and the good times he shared on occasion via e-mail. Truly he enjoyed his happiness. It is deeply saddening to hear of his passing but I believe that we were all lucky to have known him and to be blessed by him. Rest in Peace my friend…. Rest in Peace.

Condolence: Dear Karen I cannot begin to express the sympathy I feel for you at this time. You and I have been friends for many years. You and Dennis carried the biggest hearts I have ever known for animals in need. You both opened your home to many lost pets and took them in. We always would tease you about listing your address so folks could leave their pets at the corner. Dennis had a big heart and you shared this love for your animals. I am so sorry for your loss, you are in my prayers

Condolence: To Karen and the family - May God be with you while you try to put your lives back in order and create some understanding for any of this. I truly feel your grief and you are in my prayers. To Dennis I say, Thank you for being my friend. You were loved by all and you never forgot even the least of us. You would actually look out for the "underdog". I can say that you will never be forgotten. Go to God with peace in your heart - you deserve a rest.

Condolence: Dear Rodney, Helen and Ally, We are so sorry about the lost of your dear brother, Dennis. He was much too young. As the mother of four teenage girls, when they were all in high school, I thought he, Dennis Baker and Pete Skrivanos were bad influences on my precious daughters, but now in my wise old age, I realize they actually were not. They all had so much fun. He will be missed by his family and the old "gang" from all around the lake. You all are in our prayers.

Condolence From: Ronny Bridges
Condolence: Rod, Helen and Ally my words cannot say how sorry I am for your loss. I've always had faith in a quote from the Bible that "in all things God will work for the good of those who love Him". As we're reminded how short and fragile life is, let the love you share grow and help one another heal. You are a beautiful family and I thank you for being the friends you are. God bless you all, love ya... Ronny Bridges
