The love and the bond of 3 sisters was foundational and instrumental in providing all of us, their children, with the love, values, and courage to be who we are out in the world. It was also foundational in filling us, their children, with the love that we could then give to the world.
You were funny, always with the softly spoken comments that only those in closest proximity to you could hear, forever making us laugh at both appropriate and inappropriate times. You carried in you the prim and properness instilled by having Nanny as your mother, and a few degrees of the audacious rebel that was Aunt Lucille. I love you. I am grateful for you. I am grateful for your life. As I breathe, you breathe. Just as with Jaime, Michael, Melissa, my mom, Aunt Diane, and all who have been shaped by the love that you gave. For it is forever in us making us who we are.
You are always in our hearts.
