Was blessed to have Aunt Clara as a guiding influence growing up. She instilled by example the values of kindness, empathy, hard work, and humility. I'll always remember tagging along behind her in the garden, shelling peas on the back porch, and "helping" feed the chickens and gather eggs.

Sister Clara was my Sunday school teacher through much of my youth. She always had a stick of spearmint gum for us at the end of class. She made beautiful quilts and other handmade gifts that I’ll cherish always. I’d like to think she is singing in Heaven now, with others from our congregation that have already gone, and that she’s having a wonderful reunion.
