Obituary for Charles Roberts

Charles L. Roberts, 78, of Atkins, passed away, Thursday, September 9, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born January 4, 1943, in Gumlog, son of the late Troy L. and Minnie Heflin Roberts. He was a member of Bells Chapel Church of Christ and a 50 year life member of the Atkins Masonic Lodge #172.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carl D. Roberts; sisters, Janelda Duvall, Gail Turner, and Dana Ella Dean Kersen.

He is survived by his wife, Etta Roberts; 4 legged baby, Lucy; 2 daughters, Ranae Roberts Nicholson, and Scharlette Anderson and Steve; adopted daughter, Rosie Prince Godush and Steve; stepson, Lynn Moses and Becky; estranged daughter, Lynn Walker; grandchildren, Cassie Palacio, Nicole Bostain, Addie, Jordan, Alysa, and Westley Phillips, Danna and David Heffington, and Joshua, Robert, Emily, and Kristen Moses; 12 great-grandchildren; and nieces, Stacy, Andrea, and Tammy.

Funeral services are 3:00 PM, Monday, September 13, at Lemley Chapel with Charles Bane and J.W. Heflin officiating. Burial is in Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.

Pallbearers are Robert Dylan Moses, Joshua Moses, Michael Duvall, Steve Godush, Lloyd Callan, and Terry Moore. Honorary pallbearers are Monty Roberts, Johnny Foster, Nick Kersen, Gary Joe Kersen, Robert Willcutt, and Danny Cheek.
