Obituary for Burmell L. Crawford
Burmell L. Crawford, 100 of Atkins, went to her heavenly home, Monday, June 6, 2022, at Atkins Nursing and Rehab. She was born March 1, 1922, to the late F.C. and Cleo Dutton Gregory.
She was a member of Union Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Crawford; son-in-law, Emmett McFarland; 2 sisters, Juanita Russell, and Burnett Nelson; 1 grandson, TJ McElroy, Jr.; and 1 granddaughter, Samantha Crawford.
She is survived by her children, Leta Sue McFarland, Sharon and Al Ward, Barbara and TJ McElroy, and Allen and Joyce Crawford; grandchildren, Robert McFarland, Darlene Hubbard, Dianna Hern, Darrell McFarland, Darren McFarland, Doug McFarland, David Ward, Lisa Kinder, J.J. Ward, Shellie Kemp, Shane Crawford, and Gregory McElroy; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, June 10, at Union Grove Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. David Bishop and Rev. Mark Simmons officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery (Atkins) under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Robert McFarland, Darrell McFarland, Darren McFarland, Doug McFarland, David Ward, J.J. Ward, Shane Crawford, and Gregory McElroy.
