Burl D. Blankinship passed away Monday, November 11, 2019, at his home. He was born April 17, 1951, son of the late L.D. and Berniece Blankinship.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Earl D. Blankinship; one grandchild, Tiffany Freeman; and a great-grandchild, Baby J.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ann Blankinship; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and husband Delbert Chatman of Hector, and Angela and husband Harold Cochran of Atkins; 6 grandchildren, Brittany Freeman, Ashley and Landree Harris, Joshua and Katelynn Albert, Lindsey Cochran and boyfriend Kevin Jones, Sierra Cochran and fiancée Blade Brand, and Whittney Cochran; 4 great-grandchildren, Karter and Bentley Harris, Maraeya Jones, Aerabella Lachance, and two on the way; and numerous other family and friends.
Pallbearers are Delbert Chatman, Harold Cochran, Joshua Albert, Landree Harris, Kevin Jones and Paul Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Duvall and Blade Brand.
Graveside service and burial is 2:00 PM, Tuesday, at Tate Cemetery with Bro. Terry Anthony officiating under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
