Obituary for Bobby Ray Woody

Bobby Ray Woody entered this world July 31, 1952, in Greenwood, AR to the late Artie Wade and R.D. Davis Woody. He entered his Heavenly home November 9, 2022, at the age of 70 years old.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Imogene Vidunas; and several nieces and nephews.

Bobby enjoyed his life with his wife of 31 years, Rhonda Jean D’Artenay Woody; 7 children, Brenda Woody Blair (grandchildren, Ashley, Taylor, and Jacob), David Ray Woody, Billy Deal, Wayne Deal, Charles Deal and wife Andrea, Rickey Deal and wife Ilse (granddaughter Haydee), John Brice Woody (Katie); and 2 brothers, Larry Woody and wife Rhonda, and John Woody and wife Debbie.

Bobby retired from ConAgra in Russellville. He then worked part time at Arkansas Trading Loan in Russellville and Roberts Pawn Shop in Atkins. Bobby loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and deer camping. His greatest interest was in his leather shop where he made belts, wallets, holsters, and repaired saddles for people all over. He also enjoyed woodworking, raising rabbits and quail. Bobby could do most anything! He was our family’s “how-to” advisor. He was an avid gun collector and trader and enjoyed target shooting. His greatest love was being papaw!

Memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 16, at Lemley Chapel with Bro. David Joe Dalton officiating under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, at Lemley Chapel.

Pallbearers are Paul Freeman, Robert Stracner, Jacob Glenn, Keller Woody, Terry Gardner, and Robert Tackett.
