Obituary for Bobby Ray Hayes
Bobby Ray “Rusty” Hayes, 87 of Atkins, passed away Friday, January 6, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born November 17, 1935, in Griffin Flat community to the late Ray and Ruby Hern Hays.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Allan Hays; and son-in-law, Jackie Johnson.
Bobby is survived by his daughters, Rene Johnson, Lena and Chris Vincent, and Michele and Dwight Ruffin; stepdaughter, Rene and Billy Taylor; stepsons, Donnie Meredith, and Brian Meredith; grandchildren, Kayla Rachel, Cameron Johnson, Jonathan Vincent, Jason Vincent, Haley Chronister, Alex Moore, Aaron Ruffin, Ashton Taylor, and Elizabeth Ruffin; step-grandchildren, Blake Martin, Spencer Taylor, Dawson Taylor, and a special thanks to our cousin, Amber Goodall Austin “Old Girl” for her support and caring for our dad.
Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 11, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. David Bishop officiating under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Burial will be held in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
The Hayes family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville for their care and hospitality.
