Betty Hegeman, 83, of Hector, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020, at her home. She was born August 5, 1936, in Poinsett County, daughter of the late Raymond and Virgie Garrigus Trigg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Benard Hegeman; 3 daughters, Brenda Pless McKnight, Beth Hegeman Holley, and Carolyn Hegeman Barefield; and a brother, Ralph Trigg.
She is survived by a son, Larry Pless; daughter, Becky Hegeman Barnhardt (Matt); 9 grandchildren, Rachel Barnhardt, Justin Barnhardt, Andrew Barnhardt, Sarah McKnight, Andrew McKnight, Scott Nicholson, Tracy Reynolds, Terri Tanner, Lisa Gilkey; 10 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Monday, January 20, 2020, at Hector First Baptist Church with Bro. Ira Taylor and Bro. Lin Cosby officiating. Burial is in Rock Springs Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 3:00-5:00 PM, Sunday, at Lemley Chapel.
Pallbearers are Dennis Langford, Roger Langford, Ricky Langford, Melvin Emerson, Rodney Dixon, Justin Barnhardt and Andrew Barnhardt.
