Obituary for Barbara LauVane Pitts
LauVane Pitts, 82 of Atkins died Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Arkansas River Valley Hospice Home. She was born February 18, 1940 in Biscoe to John Olen and Barbara Lee Culbertson Dixon.
She was salutatorian of the 1957 graduating class of Hector High School and spent many years employed by the Economic Opportunity Agency. Her hobbies included sewing, reading, gardening, and raising dogs. She was a member of Atkins First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Lemley, a grandson Nathan Fuller, and her brother Willis Dixon,
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Bobby Lane Pitts; daughter Sherri (Mike) of Hector, daughter Robbi (Gerald) of Gosnell, and son David (Brandy) of Atkins; grandchildren Robyn Satterfield, Amber Noll (Phillip), Greg Coffman (Tonya), Clayton Coffman, Courtney Kendrick (Kris), Brandon Fuller (Faye), Johnathan Fuller, Jordan Fuller, Jacob Pitts, and Mia Pitts; 9 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren, aunt Maggie Cochran of Gum Log, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews; special friend and neighbor Betty Reed.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, June 10, 2022, at Lemley Chapel with a visitation held one hour prior to services under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
