Obituary for Antone "Sonny" Murphy
Antone “Sonny” Murphy, 98, of Casa, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023, at St. Vincent’s Infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born December 31, 1924, in Lincoln, Illinois, son of Jessie Mayer.
He was a member of the Casa Assembly of God.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Murphy; his mother, Jessie; and brothers, Glen Edward Murphy, and Jack William Mayer.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Murphy and wife Sharon, Gary Murphy and wife Teresa, and Greg Murphy and wife Margaret; grandchildren, Jennifer and Shawn Wheeler, Jaime and Will Davis, Kayla and Will Fuller, Ashley and Trevor Burris, Kristene Murphy, Erin Murphy, and Brian Spaeth; and niece, Linda and husband Mike O’Brien.
Visitation will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Lemley Chapel with funeral Service to follow at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Greg Murphy and Rev. Brian Ryals officiating. Burial will follow in Fitch Cemetery at Rose Creek under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
Pallbearers are Brian Spaeth, Ricky Bratton, Jacky Bratton, and Jerry Bratton.
