Obituary for Anita Faye Burris Berge
Anita Faye Burris Berge, age 65, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2022, after a long battle with leukemia. She was born March 14, 1956, in Morrilton, to Earl and Iva Burris. She was a 1974 graduate of Hector High School, where she excelled in basketball and academics. She resided for many years in Germany, where she met and married her husband, Greg. Upon retirement from the federal government, she returned to Arkansas to be near her 7 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Johnny Burris; and her sister, Shirley Henderson.
Survivors include her husband of more than 39 years, Greg of Dover; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Matt Slaughter of Fayetteville; son and daughter-in-law, David and Julie Berge of Dover; and her dearly loved grandchildren, Belle, Dru, and Jeb Slaughter, and Madisyn, Gabe, Ian and Emma Berge.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, February 7, at Lemley Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Leukemia Society or Crossroads Cemetery.
