Obituary for Earlene Scott

On Tuesday December 22, 2020, Earlene Scott, 80 of Russellville, went to be with her Lord and Savior while surrounded by her loving family at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home. The daughter of Earl and Stella (Redfearn) Shirley, was born November 15, 1940 in Stillwater, OK.

Earlene was a loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Greatgrand mother, as well as a homemaker. Earlene’s passions were her flowers, especially red roses, and her family. She enjoyed word puzzle books and word games on her tablet. Earlene was a member of The Sanctuary Church in Russellville, AR and a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her late husband of 59 years, James Henry Scott; her son, Richard Dale Scott; her brother Ronald E. Shirley; and her sister Wanda Gann.

Earlene adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who remain to cherish her beloved legacy. They include her sons, James Earl (Maryanne) Scott of Dover, Michael Wayne (Lyndia) Scott of Dover, Robert Dale (Dycie) Scott of Russellville, and her daughter Deborah Lynn (Rex) Surrette of Russellville.

She was also survived by her brother Austin (Lorene) Shirley and her sister Eugina Shirley, both of Stillwater, OK, 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are; Samuel Scott, Randy Scott, Richard Surrette, Riley Kendrick, Tim Newman, Nobel Mangual, Nikki Gahlot. Honorary pallbearers are; Zackery Scott, Tanner Newman, Logan Newman, Aiden Neumeier, Arayan Gahlot,

Visitation and funeral service will be held at The Sanctuary Church, Monday December 28, 2020. The visitation will begin at 10:00 am followed by the celebration of life service at 11:00 am. Burial will be held at Ball Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Home. Pastor Todd Steffy will officiate.
