Billy Earl Reed, 80, of Pottsville, died Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at his home. He was born April 5, 1930, in Spiro, Oklahoma, the son of the late Earl and Helen Cambell Reed.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Lavera Reed; two sons, Gary and David Reed; a daughter, Dorothy Horn; and a brother, Tiger Reed. He was a heavy equipment operator and loved work, fishing and his family and friends.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Janice Reed, Tommy and Crystal Reed, and Chris Reed; daughters and sons-in-law, Katy and Lenny Rhea, Lulu and Terry Davis, Sissy and Bill Madruga, and Edgar Horn; brothers, Floyd Reed, Earl Reed, Jimmy Reed, and Danny Reed, sisters, Norma Holloway, Darlene Staggs and Carolyn Horn; 26 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services and burial will be 11:00 AM Friday, November 19, 2010, at Bells Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Don Erwin officiating by Lemley Funeral of Atkins. Visitation is 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday.

Pallbearers are Billy Horn, Michael Reed, Anthony Horn, Jody Hill, Terry Reed, Jr. and Brian Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Shane and Shawn Horn, Charles, Alan and James Reed, Jesse and Jason Hill, Stephen Peterson, and Timmy, Trenton and Jacob Reed.
